Overview of Home Cleaning

Do you know anyone who would not like their homes to be clean and look neat all the time? For some people this is a real problem and they need some house cleaning tips. Forget spring house cleaning, they don’t seem to have the time to keep up with their daily and weekly house cleaning chores. If you want to keep your house clean and save time doing it, one of things you need to do, is prepare a house cleaning list and schedule your house cleaning duties.

The job of cleaning can sometimes seem overwhelming and make people want to stop before they get started. First question is where do you start? Before you get out the rags other essential cleaning supplies, start by making sure that everything is in its place. For example once you start vacuuming you don’t want to be constantly starting and stopping. Straighten things up first.  Remove the old magazines from the coffee table before starting to polish the furniture. This part of the cleaning is time consuming for what seems to have little reward.  But in addition to making your cleaning time more organized, by straighten the room out first, you are completing the most frustrating part first rather than when you start running out of steam.

To make things easier and more productive, before you start cleaning, gather all your cleaning products together that you will be using to clean the room.  A small plastic bin that you can use to place all of your cleaning products in, makes it much much easier to carry your cleaning supplies from room to room.  Some cleaning products that you will want to include in your bin is window cleaner, furniture polish, rags, antibacterial spray, and carpet cleaner and freshener. Vinegar is one of the eco friendly house cleaning products I always recommend.  You can also carry around a small bag with you for your trash, so you won’t need to be running back and forth to the garbage can.  With the proper cleaning supplies everything will get cleaned properly so spending extra time re-cleaning is never needed.

After the straightening up is done, start from the top of the room and move your way down towards the floor.  Getting the cobwebs out of the corners of the ceiling and dusting the top selves first, eliminates the possibility of getting the floor dirty again by falling dust. You will feel a better feeling of accomplishment and will save time and energy in the long run if you start and finish cleaning one room at a time.

A clean home is not only pleasing to the eye, when you walk into someone’s home the first thing you notice is whether the house is clean or not.  And it’s the first thing other people notice about your home.  Actually, a dirty home is more likely to have bacteria and cause illness to those who live in it. By keeping the surfaces clean that are most likely to support bacteria, you are more likely at staying healthy.
